ROSCOMMON WOMEN?S NETWORK (RWN) has been awarded funding under EPA
? Green Enterprise Innovation for a Circular Economy **Apply on the
website** call, to undertake a project to design and deliver a textile
upcycling re-use social enterprise which will create flexible
employment opportunities for women while protecting the environment
from the perspective of living in a largely rural county.

RWN is a community development project supporting the development of
women and their families throughout the county Roscommon and are part
of the National Collective of Community based women?s Networks
(NCCWN)

PROJECT MANAGER - ROLE SPECIFICATION

The Project will require the successful candidate to demonstrate
experience and proven results in several relevant areas. The
successful applicant must be able to work on their own initiative,
collaborate with different groups, ensure deadlines are met and
devise, manage and implement the project scope, plan, budget and
timelines.

The project timeframe is **Apply on the website** months and the
Project Manager will need to commit to working 5 days per week for the
duration of the project. The project will involve travel within the
county and the region.

1. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To scope, plan, design and deliver the Women?s Environment Community
Activation Project on time and within budget.

2. POSITION IN ORGANISATION:

The Project Manager will work with RWN staff and project steering
committee. He/she will report to the RWN manager. He/she will also
support and work closely with the members of the RWN Textile Upcycling
group and RWN volunteers.

3. SCOPE OF JOB:

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the
successful completion of the following tasks:

a) Literature reviews and assessment of pilot project
b) Design and create project scope, description, project plan and
communication plan
c) Organise and co-ordinate training
d) Project Management, including monitoring and reporting on project
plan and budget to steering committee and funders
e) Quality control and branding
f) Management of health and safety policies and procedures relating to
the Project
f) Project promotion, marketing and sales
g) Sustainability planning
h) Establishing a successful social and environmental enterprise

4. DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:

The Project Manager will be expected to make decisions relating to the
project in consultation with the RWN Manager and/or Steering
Committee.

Decisions relating to finance and expenditure must also be made in
collaboration with the RWN Finance administrator and approved by the
RWN Manager with the knowledge and agreement of the RWN Voluntary
committee.

5. REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

At least 3 years? experience in the following areas:

* Project management
* Business model development
* Stakeholder engagement
* Research methodologies
* Market research and communications
* Conducting surveys of various stakeholder groups and/or consumers
* Monitoring and reporting
* Report writing
* Financial management and reporting

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL ALSO NEED TO HAVE:

* A degree or equivalent qualification in a related discipline such
as Community Development/ Business / Environmental studies
* Experience of working in and/or leading a team
* Working with marginalised communities
* Comprehensive IT skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* An ability to engage with a range of stakeholders
* A high standard of written English
* Willingness to undertake health and safety and other training as
necessary

DESIRABLE

* Experience of working in a project with a similar scope
* Experience in the re-use/recycling sector
